Searching Tips:
1: Enter the name only of your course, no location information.
2: Keep removing parts of the name until you are only searching for 1 part of the name.
example: The Links At Union Vale could be your starting point.
If you don't find it, just put in Union Vale
If you don't find it with that, put in only Union or Vale
This strategy is important because there is no guarantee somebody entered the whole
name of the course when they added it.
***FIR Left/Right: we could not find any consistent
correlation between left/right. What we did find is that as the handicap got lower, the
consistency of the misses increased and very low handicap golfers had a very high percentage of
their misses to the same side. While you might think that high handicap golfers would miss to the right
more often.... what you may not realize is very good golfers also favor missing to the right as
you can talk to a fade, a hook won't listen.
This is however a very helpful indicator for an individual golfer, you want
to keep an eye on where
you miss most of the time so you can eliminate 1 side of the golf course.
**Avg Score: this stat depends on the difficulty
of the courses played. Use only as a rough guide.
**# Putts per round: this is not a very useful stat as
you can hit 18 greens, 2 putt them all for 36 putts and shoot 72.
Or you can
miss all 18 greens, get up and down all 18 times for 18 putts, and shoot 81. A much better
indicator is your putting performance from each distance.
